Question: I've configured the patients tablet with a Spanish configuration but the readings are announcing in English?

Answer: In order for the smart device to announce in a different language you must first adjust the language preference in the system settings. First exit the kiosk by tapping the screen 5 times and entering the password. From the menu navigate to system  settings -> Languages & Input -> Languages . From here you can change the system language by clicking and dragging it into the number 1 spot. If the language you would like to use is not showing in the list simply click the  +Add a Language  button and select the language you would like to add. Once the correct language is in the number 1 spot you will notice that all text will adjust to read in the selected language. Press the home button to return to the SureLock kiosk and take another reading to confirm that your readings are announcing in the correct language. If reading is still announced in English, restart the tablet, take another reading, and confirm readings are announcing in correct language.

Question: I've updated the language preference in system settings but it is still announcing in English?

Answer:  This happens when the proper text-to-speech file has not been downloaded for the language you have chosen.  To rectify this exit the kiosk by tapping the screen 5 times and entering the password. From the menu navigate to system  settings -> Languages & Input -> Text-to-speech output . Click on the gear icon next to "Speech Services by Google" and select "Install voice data". Select the language you would like to use and click on the download button on the righthand side. Select Voice one and and hit the back arrow to save.  Ensure that "Speech Services by Google" is enabled and return to the SureLock kiosk.  Update the system language to match the Text-to-Speech language. Take a new reading to confirm that the readings are now announcing in the language of your choice.
